Install the PostFast plugin for ChatGPT
The quickest path is the plugin directory. Nothing to paste, and no Developer mode to turn on.
- 1Start your 7-day free trial (no credit card), or sign in if you already use PostFast, and connect at least one social account.
- 2Open the PostFast listing in the ChatGPT plugin directory.
- 3Click Install plugin.
- 4Sign in to PostFast when ChatGPT asks. No API key, no client secret.
- 5Start a new chat, then ask: “List my PostFast accounts and schedule a post for tomorrow at 9am.”
Prefer to add it manually, or does your workspace block the directory?
With step 1 done, add the same hosted connector by URL. This is the route for Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces where an admin has not made the listing available, and for any other MCP client that takes a connector URL.

- Scroll to Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
- Choose Create, give the connector a name, and paste https://mcp.postfa.st/mcp.
- Approve the OAuth sign-in. No client secret, no API key.
- Ask: “List my PostFast accounts and schedule a post to LinkedIn for tomorrow 9am.”
ChatGPT plan requirements
- OpenAI says the plugin directory is visible across ChatGPT plans, and that whether you can install or invoke a plugin depends on your plan, workspace settings, role, region, and the surface you use. Installing from the directory does not need Developer mode.
- Adding the connector manually does need Developer mode, under Settings, then Connectors, then Advanced.
- Apps are enabled by default on Business workspaces and disabled by default on Enterprise and Edu, so an admin may need to enable PostFast before you can install it. The details are in OpenAI’s help center.
- Scheduling and publishing both work. New posts are created on hold, and nothing publishes until you approve it.

Work your comment inbox from ChatGPT
The connector reads and answers the comments left on your own TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Page and Threads posts. It can reply publicly, send an Instagram private reply, hide or delete spam, and triage by snoozing, closing or assigning a conversation to a teammate, all under the same workspace permissions a person gets.
Whether a reply is allowed and how long it can be is decided by PostFast per conversation, so ChatGPT never has to guess a platform’s rules. This covers comments, not direct messages.
Installing from the plugin directory does not include the comment tools yet. To work the inbox from ChatGPT today, add the connector manually with the steps above. An updated plugin version is with OpenAI for review.

Videos are capped at 250MB (Telegram 50MB, Bluesky 100MB). Media is required on TikTok, YouTube (video), Instagram, and Pinterest, even for drafts. Google Business Profile posts can be text only.
Attaching images and video
ChatGPT can pass an attached or generated file straight to PostFast, or you can point it at a public image URL (“attach the image at https://...”).
Supported: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, WebM, MOV. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest require at least one media item, even for drafts. Google Business Profile posts can be text only.

Is it secure?
Yes. You connect over OAuth 2.1 and sign in on PostFast’s own screen, so no password, API key, or client secret ever goes into the chat. Access is scoped (read vs write), every request re-checks your workspace permissions, and you can revoke it anytime.

Can I work my comment inbox from the plugin?
Not from the directory install yet. The published plugin asks for a reduced set of permissions that leaves the comment tools out, so a one-click install can draft, schedule, publish, and report, but cannot read or answer comments. Adding the connector manually with the steps above gives you the comment tools today, and an updated plugin version is with OpenAI for review.

How long does setup take?

What if a post fails?
The usual cause is a disconnected account. PostFast flags disconnected accounts before scheduling, so reconnect the account and ask again.
What analytics can it pull?
Impressions, reach, likes, comments, and shares for published posts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn company pages, and Pinterest Business, plus video watch-time (average and total watch seconds, and video views) where the platform reports it (Facebook, Instagram Reels, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok). It can also pull a daily follower-count history for an account to chart growth over time.
Does this replace the PostFast app?
No. It is the same account and the same workspaces; the app stays your control center. The connector is the fastest way to act from inside the AI you already use.
