How to connect PostFast to ChatGPT
- 1Open ChatGPT, go to Settings, then Connectors (it may read “Apps and Connectors”).
- 2Scroll to Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
- 3Choose Create, give the connector a name, and paste https://mcp.postfa.st/mcp.
- 4Approve the OAuth sign-in. No client secret, no API key.
- 5Ask: “List my PostFast accounts and schedule a post to LinkedIn for tomorrow 9am.”
ChatGPT plan requirements
- Custom MCP connectors need a paid ChatGPT plan with Developer Mode enabled. The Free plan cannot add custom connectors. Developer Mode supports full actions, so scheduling and publishing work, and ChatGPT shows a confirmation before anything posts.
- On Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces an admin enables custom connectors first.

Videos are capped at 250MB (Telegram 50MB, Bluesky 100MB). Media is required on TikTok, YouTube (video), Instagram, Pinterest, and Google Business Profile, even for drafts.
Attaching images and video
ChatGPT can pass an attached or generated file straight to PostFast, or you can point it at a public image URL (“attach the image at https://...”).
Supported: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, WebM, MOV. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and Google Business Profile require at least one media item, even for drafts.

Is it secure?
Yes. You connect over OAuth 2.1 and sign in on PostFast’s own screen, so no password, API key, or client secret ever goes into the chat. Access is scoped (read vs write), every request re-checks your workspace permissions, and you can revoke it anytime.
Does it cost extra, and which plan do I need?
Included on every PostFast plan and the 7-day trial, with no tier gating on our side. On the ChatGPT side you need a paid plan with Developer Mode enabled; the Free plan is not supported.
Which platforms can I post to?
All 11: X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, and Google Business Profile.
How long does setup take?
About two minutes once you have a PostFast account with your social accounts connected.
Can I manage multiple workspaces or clients?
Yes. The connector can list your workspaces and act in any of them, and it can generate agency connect links so a client connects their own accounts without sharing logins.
What if a post fails?
The usual cause is a disconnected account. PostFast flags disconnected accounts before scheduling, so reconnect the account and ask again.
What analytics can it pull?
Impressions, reach, likes, comments, and shares for published posts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn company pages, and Pinterest Business.
Does this replace the PostFast app?
No. It is the same account and the same workspaces; the app stays your control center. The connector is the fastest way to act from inside the AI you already use.
