How it works
Connect once per workspace
- 1Go to Dashboard, then Integrations, and click Connect on Canva.
- 2Approve the read-only permission in Canva.
- 3You land back in PostFast with the connection active.
Browse, search, and import
- 1In the composer, open the media import menu and choose Canva.
- 2Browse your designs with thumbnails, or search. Search looks across design content, not just titles, so full words and longer phrases find more (use "instagram" rather than "insta").
- 3Select up to 10 designs and import. Canva exports each design and it attaches to your post as a high-quality PNG.
Import lives in the post composer, when you create a new post or edit a scheduled post or draft. The imported design attaches to the post you are editing.

PostFast's Canva permission is read-only. It can view your designs to show the browse list and export what you select; it can never edit, delete, or create anything in your Canva account.
Your designs stay in Canva
Importing creates an exported copy in PostFast. The original design is untouched and stays in your Canva account.
Supported files and limits
- Designs import as high-quality PNG images.
- Video designs import as a static PNG frame. To post the actual video, download it from Canva and upload it directly.
- Up to 10 designs per import, with no import quotas.

Frequently asked questions
My search shows nothing. Why?
Canva's search is full-text across design content, so very short queries can come up empty. Try full words or a longer phrase, or just browse the list.
Does an updated design re-import automatically?
No. Importing takes a snapshot at that moment. Re-import the design to get the latest version.
Can my team use it?
Yes. The connection is per workspace, like Dropbox and Google Drive.
How do I disconnect Canva?
Remove the connection anytime under Integrations, or from the Canva side in your Canva account's connected-apps settings. Already-imported media is unaffected.
Which plans include Canva import?
All of them. Media import is available on every PostFast plan and the 7-day trial, at no extra cost.
