Import from Dropbox
Browse your Dropbox inside PostFast and pull images and videos straight into your posts, or just paste a Dropbox shared link. Read-only access, your files stay in Dropbox.
How it works
Connect once per workspace
- 1Go to Dashboard, then Integrations, and click Connect on Dropbox.
- 2Approve the read-only permission.
- 3You land back in PostFast with the connection active.
Browse and import
- 1In the composer, open the media import menu and choose Dropbox.
- 2Navigate your folders, or search. Folder browsing shows all your files and folders with type icons; search narrows the results to images and videos.
- 3Select up to 10 files and import.
Prefer a link? Drop a Dropbox shared link (dropbox.com/...) into the search box and PostFast imports that file directly. File links only: folder links, password-protected links, and links with downloads disabled are not supported.
Import lives in the post composer, when you create a new post or edit a scheduled post or draft. Manage or remove the connection anytime under Integrations, or from the Dropbox side at dropbox.com/account/connected_apps.
Read-only, by design
Read-only access
PostFast's Dropbox permissions are read-only (file metadata, file content, sharing info). It can browse names and download what you select; it can never modify, delete, or upload anything in your Dropbox.
Your files stay in Dropbox
Importing copies your selection into PostFast. Everything else in your Dropbox stays private and untouched.
Supported files and limits
- Images up to 10 MB and videos up to 250 MB, the same limits as direct uploads.
- Up to 10 files per import, with no import quotas.
- Shared-link import handles file links only. Open a folder and use file links, or browse after connecting.

Frequently asked questions
Can I import someone else's shared link?
Yes. Any Dropbox file link that opens for you works, even from outside your own Dropbox. Folder links are not supported, so open the folder and use file links, or browse after connecting.
Why don't I see thumbnails when browsing folders?
Folder browsing lists every file and folder with type icons rather than previews. Search narrows to images and videos, and you review your selection in PostFast before importing.
Can my team use it?
Yes. The connection is per workspace, like Canva and Google Drive.
An import says "reconnect required". What happened?
Access was revoked or expired on the Dropbox side. Reconnect from Integrations, or manage access at dropbox.com/account/connected_apps. Your imported media is unaffected.
Which plans include Dropbox import?
