Is this image cropper free?
Yes. The cropper is completely free, with no signup, no watermark, no usage limits, and no credit card. We built it because we needed it ourselves and figured the rest of the internet might too.
Where does my image go after I upload it?
Nowhere. Cropping runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. We never see, store, or upload your image to any server. Open your DevTools network tab and confirm - there are zero requests during upload, crop, or download.
Why are there 10 platform-specific cropper pages?
Each platform has its own preset dimensions baked in. Pick the platform you are posting to and the right sizes are pre-loaded. You can also use the universal cropper here and switch platforms in-flow.
What file formats can I upload?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF up to 20 MB. The cropper exports as PNG (default, lossless) or JPG (with a quality slider, smaller file).
Will the output match the platform's exact recommended dimensions?
Yes. After you crop the region, the output is rendered at the exact preset width and height (for example 1080×1080 for an Instagram square post). The platform never has to resize your image, so the result stays sharp.
Can I crop bulk images at once?
