What is the best Pinterest pin size?
1000×1500 (2:3) is Pinterest's officially recommended size. Vertical pins receive 67% more engagement than square pins because they take more vertical screen space in the feed.
What happens if my pin is taller than 2:3?
Pins taller than a 1:2.1 ratio (for example 1000×2100) get cropped in the feed. Long infographics still work but should be designed knowing only the top portion shows in browse views.
What is an Idea Pin and what size should it be?
Idea Pins are Pinterest's full-screen vertical format. Use 1080×1920 (9:16) - the same dimensions as Instagram or TikTok stories.
Should I use PNG or JPG for Pinterest pins?
