What's the difference between the MCP Server and the Claude Code integration?
The MCP Server is the protocol-neutral server that powers PostFast inside any MCP-compatible AI tool. The Claude Code page is a CLI-first setup guide for developers who specifically use Claude Code: the same package with an API key, or the hosted connector. In Claude Code you can also sign in with your PostFast login through the hosted connector, with no API key, and if PostFast is added to your claude.ai account and Claude Code uses the same Claude account, it is already there.
Which integration should I pick?
Schedule from inside ChatGPT: install the PostFast plugin from the ChatGPT plugin directory (OAuth, no API key, no Developer mode). Schedule from the Claude app: add PostFast from Claude’s connector directory (OAuth, no API key). Developers who live in the terminal: Claude Code. You need an active PostFast account. All of these integrations work on every plan, including the 7-day free trial. The hosted ChatGPT and Claude connector uses OAuth (no API key); the developer integrations (MCP server on npm, n8n, Zapier, Make) use an API key. Both are free.
Is the PostFast MCP server open source?
