Best Agorapulse Alternatives for Agencies and Social Teams
Agorapulse is a strong community-management tool with one structural catch: it charges per user. Standard is $79 per user per month on annual billing, Professional $119 and Advanced $149, and all three cap the account at 10 social profiles until the quote-only Custom tier. A four-person agency on Advanced is $596 a month before anyone connects an eleventh profile. The nine tools below were read from their own pricing pages on 9 September 2026. Two beat Agorapulse on seats outright, one rebrands the whole platform, and one undercuts them all.
What is Agorapulse?
Agorapulse is a social media management platform built around the inbox. It publishes to about 10 networks (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Threads and Bluesky) and pairs that with a unified inbox covering direct messages, organic comments and, from Professional, comments on your ads, with moderation rules, saved replies, assignment and reply-collision detection on top. If your day is answering people rather than scheduling posts, it is one of the better tools on this list and this page will not pretend otherwise.
It is also an expensive way to run a small team, because the price is per user and the profile allowance is not. Every named tier includes 10 social profiles for the whole account, and extra profiles cost $10 a month each on annual ($15 monthly). Growth costs you twice: once when you add a person, again when you add a client's accounts. Teams leave when the second or third seat turns a workable tool into a four-figure line item, or when they go looking for approvals and find them a tier up.
Agorapulse pricing explained
Agorapulse prices in USD per user per month and defaults to annual billing, advertising up to 20 percent off monthly. Everything below was read from agorapulse.com/pricing on 9 September 2026 with both toggles checked. There is no free plan, but the 30-day trial needs no card and is the most generous here.
Standard, $79 per user per month on annual ($99 monthly). 10 social profiles, unlimited scheduling, the unified inbox for messages and organic comments, and basic reports with branded export. Note what is missing: no internal comments and no approval workflow at all, so a two-person team cannot review each other's work on this tier.
Professional, $119 per user per month on annual ($149 monthly). Adds simple approval workflows, internal comments, post and inbox assignment, link in bio, ad comment monitoring and team performance reports. This is the first tier where an agency review loop works, at $40 per person per month above Standard.
Advanced, $149 per user per month on annual ($199 monthly). Adds bulk approve, five shared calendars, labels, saved replies, automated moderation, advanced and ads reporting, ROI analysis and competitor benchmarking. Data retention steps up from 6 months on Standard and 12 on Professional to 24.
Custom, quote only. Unlimited social profiles, multi-step approval workflows, SSO, custom roles, API access, sentiment analysis and a dedicated CSM. Both unlimited profiles and multi-step approvals live behind a sales conversation, so any agency past 10 profiles is paying the add-on or getting on a call.
The arithmetic that sends people looking: three people on Professional is $357 a month, five on Advanced is $745, and both still stop at 10 profiles. Add 20 client profiles at $10 each and five people on Advanced reaches $945 a month. The flat-priced tools below cover the same roster for a tenth of that, and the honest reason to stay is the inbox, not the price.
Agorapulse compared with Sprout Social, Hootsuite and Sendible
Against the other per-seat suites, Agorapulse is the cheap one. Sprout Social starts at $79 per seat per month on annual but caps the account at 5 profiles, and its Standard tier is $199 per seat. Hootsuite is $99 per user per month on annual for 10 accounts, $199 on Professional and $399 on Advanced, which is the first Hootsuite tier with post approval workflows at all. Agorapulse Professional at $119 gives you approvals for less than half what Hootsuite charges.
Against the flat-priced agency tools the comparison inverts. Sendible includes unlimited users on every tier from Core at $30 a month, and Cloud Campaign on all three of its plans. Both price by workspace or profile instead of headcount, so the second and third team member are free. For an agency whose constraint is people rather than clients, that is the entire decision.
The question underneath is which axis your costs grow along. Win clients faster than you hire and a per-workspace tool is right; hire faster than you win clients and per-seat pricing punishes you specifically. Agorapulse is a good tool on the pricing model that suits the fewest agencies.
Quick comparison
Every price below was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 9 September 2026, on annual billing where the vendor offers it. Prices drift, so treat the date as part of the number. Figures are in the currency each vendor publishes: PostFast and Metricool bill in euro, the rest in US dollars.

1. Best for flat pricing with no per-seat charge: PostFast
The same team on a flat plan, with approvals and an API on every tier including the trial.
PostFast is the direct answer to the per-seat problem. Pricing is flat per plan on annual billing: Starter EUR 10 a month (4 accounts, 1 workspace, 1 user), Creator EUR 24 (12 accounts, 4 workspaces, 5 users each), Growth EUR 40 (30 accounts, 10 workspaces, 8 users each), Pro EUR 82.50 (120 accounts, 30 workspaces, 15 users each) and Enterprise EUR 199 (500 accounts, 110 workspaces, 30 users each). Monthly is EUR 12, 29, 49, 99 and 239. The five-person agency that costs $745 a month on Agorapulse Advanced costs EUR 82.50 on Pro, with 120 social accounts rather than 10.
Seats are included rather than billed: no per-seat fee, but a cap per workspace, and an invited client uses one of those slots. Post approvals are on every plan including the 7-day trial, with a Client role that reviews and signs off, and only Approved posts publish at their scheduled time. Agorapulse puts its simple approval workflow on Professional at $119 per user per month. The REST API and MCP server are on every plan too, where Agorapulse keeps API access on Custom.
Where Agorapulse is genuinely better, on three counts: its inbox handles direct messages, organic comments and ad comments with moderation rules and collision detection, while the PostFast Social Inbox is comments only, on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages and Threads. It ships white-label reporting on every tier including Standard, where PostFast gates report branding to Pro and Enterprise. And it has multi-step approval workflows on Custom, where PostFast's approval is a single gate. If community management is the job, Agorapulse is the better tool.

- Starting price
- €10/mo annual (Starter), €12/mo monthly
- Platforms
- 11 (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, BlueSky, Threads, Pinterest, Telegram, Google Business)
- Free plan / trial
- 7-day trial, no credit card
- Standout
- Flat pricing with no per-seat fee, plus approvals, a REST API and MCP on every plan
2. Best for agencies that need the platform itself rebranded: Cloud Campaign
The one tool here where clients log into your brand, on your domain, and never see the vendor.
Cloud Campaign is built for agencies that resell social media management as their own product. Plans run Freelancer $41 a month on annual ($49 monthly), Team $165 ($199) and Agency $249 ($299), priced by brand workspace rather than by person, with extra workspaces at $41, $24 and $29 on annual. Unlimited users on every tier, and approval workflows are among the things it explicitly does not charge extra for.
The reason to pick it over everything else here is white labelling in the full sense. Its feature comparison lists a white-labeled dashboard, a white-labeled subdomain, a custom domain and a white-labeled email domain, standard from Team and advanced on Agency. That is a rebranded platform, not a rebranded PDF, and it is a real capability PostFast does not have: we brand the report, and clients still sign in at app.postfa.st. If clients logging into your own domain under your own logo is a requirement, this is the tool.
What you pay for it: the entry price is four times PostFast's, and API workflows only arrive on Agency at $249 a month, where PostFast and Publer Business include API access far lower down. Freelancer caps you at 7 accounts per client with no white labelling, so the tier worth buying is really Team at $165.
- Starting price
- $41/mo (Freelancer, annual), $49/mo monthly
- Platforms
- 9 (incl. Google Business, Threads)
- Free plan / trial
- Free trial, no free plan
- Standout
- Genuine platform white labelling: your dashboard, subdomain, custom domain and email domain
4. Best for unlimited users on every tier: Sendible
The closest like-for-like swap if the seat count is what is hurting.
Sendible is the closest tool to Agorapulse here, and the biggest difference is seats: every tier includes unlimited users. On annual billing, Core $30 a month (1 workspace, 6 profiles), Plus $84 (3 workspaces, 18 profiles), Premium $169 (7 workspaces, 42 profiles), Elite $254 (15 workspaces, 90 profiles) and Enterprise $638 (50 workspaces, 300 profiles). The five-person team costing $745 on Agorapulse Advanced costs $169 on Sendible Premium with four times the profiles.
Client dashboards, where the client previews and approves, are on every tier including Core at $30, and Client Connect lets clients link their own profiles without sharing logins. Routed assignment and approvals start on Plus at $84, and custom approval workflows that force a user to always need sign-off start on Premium at $169. That is a more graduated approval story than PostFast's single gate, though it costs more to reach.
Where it is worse: no public API, no Telegram. White labelling waits until Elite at $254 and is then a paid add-on from $349 a month, so the real cost is over $600. Cloud Campaign at $165 is cheaper. See PostFast vs Sendible or Sendible alternatives.
- Starting price
- $30/mo (Core, annual), $35/mo monthly
- Platforms
- 10 (incl. Google Business, Threads, Bluesky)
- Free plan / trial
- 14-day trial, no credit card
- Standout
- Unlimited users on every tier, plus client dashboards from the $30 entry plan
5. Best for reporting depth at a low flat price: Metricool
The analytics answer, if what you actually valued in Agorapulse was the reports.
Metricool prices by brand, not by person. The free plan covers one brand, 20 posts a month and 30 days of analytics, with no LinkedIn or X. Starter is from EUR 16 a month on annual (EUR 20 monthly) for 5 brands and EUR 29 for 10, adding unlimited publishing, LinkedIn, 100 competitor profiles and PDF and PPT reports. Advanced starts at EUR 43 annual (EUR 54 monthly) for 15 brands, EUR 69 for 25, EUR 130 for 50.
Advanced is the agency tier: team and client management, role management, a post approval system, complete X analytics, custom report templates, the Looker Studio connector and the Metricool API with Zapier, Make and MCP. Collaborators give a client access to one brand without exposing the others. For reporting depth per euro, nothing here is close.
Two things to check: a brand holds one profile per social network, so a client with two Instagram accounts consumes two brands, and white labelling is only on the quote-only Custom tier. See Metricool alternatives.
- Starting price
- €16/mo (Starter, annual), €20/mo monthly
- Platforms
- 9 (incl. Google Business, Threads, Bluesky)
- Free plan / trial
- Free plan (1 brand, 20 posts/mo)
- Standout
- Competitor analytics, Looker Studio and an API from EUR 43/mo on Advanced
6. Best for the cheapest per-account pricing: Publer
Pay for the accounts you connect, and add reviewers a couple of dollars at a time.
Publer is the cheapest paid option here. Professional is $4 per social account per month billed yearly ($5 monthly) and Business $8 ($10 monthly), with every tenth account free. The free plan covers 3 accounts and 10 scheduled posts each, no X. Business adds analytics, competitor analysis and API access, and still lands under any Agorapulse tier.
Approvals work differently and the difference costs money. Publer's collaboration and approval workflows require paid additional members: one member takes Professional from $4 to $5.60 per account per month billed yearly, and Business from $8 to $10.40, roughly $1.60 and $2.40 per member. Far cheaper than Agorapulse's $79 to $149 per seat, but still per head, which PostFast and Sendible are not.
Publer describes approval workflows with real-time notifications and notes, run internally or with external clients, and unlimited workspaces are on every paid tier. For a freelancer with a handful of accounts and one reviewer, it is the lowest total bill here. See Publer alternatives.
- Starting price
- $4/account/mo (Professional, annual), $5/mo monthly
- Platforms
- 10 (incl. Google Business, Threads, Mastodon)
- Free plan / trial
- Free plan (3 accounts), 7 and 14-day paid trials
- Standout
- Per-account pricing from $4/mo with unlimited workspaces on every paid tier
7. Best for reviewers who do not need an account: Later
Visual planning with a review step your client can use without logging in.
Later prices by social set, where one set is 8 profiles. Billed yearly: Starter $18.75 a month (1 set, 1 user, 30 posts per profile), Growth $37.50 (2 sets, 2 users) and Scale $82.50 (6 sets, 4 users, unlimited posts). Extra sets are $11.25 a month each and extra users $3.75, the cheapest per-seat add-on on this page.
The approval feature is genuinely distinctive and PostFast does not match it. Collaboration runs internally and externally from Growth at $37.50, and Later's own pricing page states that reviewers do not need a Later login to leave feedback, with in-app and email notifications keeping everyone moving. On PostFast a client reviewer needs an account and takes one of the workspace's slots. If getting sign-off from people who will never adopt a tool is the recurring problem, Later solves it more directly than anything here.
The trade is capacity and breadth: Starter has no collaboration and cannot buy extra users, and the model assumes a visual-first Instagram and TikTok workflow. See Later alternatives.
- Starting price
- $18.75/mo (Starter, annual), $25/mo monthly
- Platforms
- 8 profiles per social set (incl. Pinterest, Threads)
- Free plan / trial
- 14-day trial
- Standout
- External reviewers can approve content without needing a Later login
8. Best for small teams that want a free plan and simplicity: Buffer
The simplest option, with approvals and unlimited team members on one paid tier.
Buffer charges per channel. The free plan covers 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts each and 1 user, with API access included. Essentials is $5 per channel per month billed yearly ($6 monthly) and Team $10 ($12 monthly). Approval workflows and custom access permissions are Team-only, and Team includes unlimited team members, so 3 channels and six reviewers is $30 a month, less than a single Agorapulse seat.
Buffer's API is generally available on every plan including Free, with 1, 3 and 5 keys and 3,000, 7,500 and 15,000 requests a month, and it is GraphQL rather than REST. There are no webhooks.
Per-channel pricing inverts as you grow: a 30-channel roster on Team is $300 a month, more than Cloud Campaign Agency and four times PostFast Pro. Buffer has no client workspaces and no client-facing reporting. Right for small, wrong for a roster. See Buffer alternatives.
- Starting price
- $5/channel/mo (Essentials, annual), $6/mo monthly
- Platforms
- 11 (incl. Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads)
- Free plan / trial
- Free plan (3 channels), 14-day trial on paid
- Standout
- Unlimited team members and approval workflows on Team, plus an API on the free plan
9. Best for enterprise breadth and social listening: Hootsuite
The upgrade rather than the escape, and the most expensive approval step here.
Hootsuite is the direction to go only if you are leaving Agorapulse because you need more, not cheaper. On annual billing: Standard $99 per user per month (10 accounts), Professional $199 (unlimited accounts, inbox automation) and Advanced $399, Enterprise quote-only. Monthly prices are no longer publicly listed. The trial is 14 days, no card.
Read the feature matrix before assuming parity: post approval workflows and internal comments are both marked not included on Standard and Professional, appearing only on Advanced at $399 per user per month. That makes Hootsuite the most expensive way here to get a review step, and Agorapulse Professional at $119 a materially better deal for the same job.
What the money buys is breadth Agorapulse lacks: social listening, brand and competitor monitoring, message auto-routing, team performance measurement and four first-party MCP servers, with the Wisdom AI assistant on every plan. If listening and governance are why you are shopping, this is the honest answer. See Hootsuite alternatives.
- Starting price
- $99/user/mo (Standard, annual)
- Platforms
- 10 (incl. Threads, Bluesky, Reddit)
- Free plan / trial
- 14-day trial, no credit card
- Standout
- Social listening, enterprise governance and four first-party MCP servers
How we evaluated
Every price here was read from the vendor's own pricing page in a real browser on 9 September 2026, with both billing toggles checked and the feature matrix expanded to confirm which tier a capability actually sits on rather than trusting the marketing bullets. Where a vendor publishes no price, the page says quote-only rather than guessing. We do not link out to competitors, but every figure is on their public pricing page, and the date matters as much as the number.
How to choose the right alternative
Start with which axis your costs grow along. Hire faster than you win clients and anything per seat is working against you: Sendible, Cloud Campaign and PostFast all remove that. Win clients faster than you hire and per-workspace pricing wins, which is Cloud Campaign or PostFast Pro. Then check the one feature you cannot do without. Full platform rebranding is Cloud Campaign and nothing else here. Free client reviewer seats are SocialPilot from Premium. Reviewers who never log in are Later from Growth. Reporting depth per euro is Metricool Advanced. The lowest bill for a handful of accounts is Publer. An API on the entry plan is PostFast, Publer Business or Buffer. And if Agorapulse's inbox is the reason you bought it, none of these replaces it, and the right move is to negotiate seats rather than switch.
Moving over is the easy part
Scheduled content comes across by bulk CSV import, up to 200 posts and 10 MB per upload, with columns for post content, schedule time, target accounts and publicly hosted media URLs. If you would rather script it, the REST API and MCP server are on every plan including the trial, so an assistant can rebuild the queue for you.
Accounts are not transferred between tools by anyone, Agorapulse included. Each one reconnects through a hosted connect link you send: it stays valid for 1 to 30 days, can be limited to chosen platforms, and the owner authorizes it on the platform's own login screen, so no password changes hands. Connecting also backfills the last 60 days of already-published posts on Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads and TikTok, so analytics are not empty on day one.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Agorapulse alternative?
It depends which constraint you are escaping. Per-seat pricing: PostFast is flat from EUR 10/mo on annual with no seat fee, and Sendible has unlimited users on every tier from $30/mo. A rebranded client-facing platform: Cloud Campaign from $165/mo. Free client reviewer seats: SocialPilot from $85/mo. Reporting depth: Metricool Advanced from EUR 43/mo. If you bought Agorapulse for its inbox, none of these replaces it.
How much does Agorapulse cost per user?
On annual billing, $79 per user per month for Standard, $119 for Professional and $149 for Advanced, read from agorapulse.com/pricing on 9 September 2026. On monthly those become $99, $149 and $199, and Custom is quote-only. All three named tiers include 10 social profiles for the account rather than per user; extra profiles are $10 a month each on annual ($15 monthly).
Does Agorapulse have a free plan?
No, but its 30-day trial needs no card and is the longest on this page. If you need a free tier: Buffer covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each, Publer 3 accounts excluding X, and Metricool 1 brand with 20 posts a month.
Which Agorapulse alternative is cheapest for a small agency?
For a handful of accounts, Publer at $4 per social account per month billed yearly, though approvals there require paid additional members at roughly $1.60 each per month. For a client roster, PostFast Growth at EUR 40/mo on annual covers 30 accounts across 10 workspaces with 8 people in each and no per-seat charge; SocialPilot Standard at $34/mo covers 10 accounts and 3 users with approvals included.
Which alternatives include post approvals on the entry plan?
PostFast includes approvals on every plan including the trial, with a dedicated Client role. Cloud Campaign lists approval workflows among the features it does not charge extra for, on all three tiers. Sendible has client dashboards where clients preview and approve from Core at $30/mo. Elsewhere approvals sit a tier or more up: SocialPilot from Standard, Later from Growth, Buffer on Team only, Metricool from Advanced, Agorapulse from Professional and Hootsuite only on Advanced at $399 per user per month.
Does PostFast do white labelling like Agorapulse?
Partly, and it is worth being precise. PostFast white-labels the report: the analytics PDF carries the workspace's own logo and name and the Generated by PostFast footer switches off, both on Pro and Enterprise. Agorapulse includes white-label reporting on every tier including Standard, so on that specific feature it is ahead. Neither rebrands the platform itself: clients sign in to PostFast at app.postfa.st and there is no custom domain. For a rebranded login on your own domain, Cloud Campaign is the tool here that does it.
Can I keep an approval step if I move off Agorapulse?
Yes on every tool here, though the price varies by an order of magnitude. The cheapest routes are PostFast (every plan, no per-seat fee, only Approved posts publish) and Cloud Campaign (all tiers, unlimited users). The most expensive is Hootsuite, where approvals wait until Advanced at $399 per user per month. One thing to check first: Agorapulse's multi-step approval workflows on Custom route a post through more than one stage, and PostFast's approval is a single gate rather than a chain.
When should I stay on Agorapulse?
When the inbox is the product you are buying. Agorapulse handles direct messages, organic comments and ad comments in one queue with automated moderation, saved replies, assignment and reply-collision detection, and none of the cheaper tools here match that. It also ships white-label reporting on every tier and multi-step approvals on Custom. If your team lives in the inbox rather than the calendar, the per-seat price buys something real and the better move is to negotiate seats.
