Yes, you can schedule posts on LinkedIn, and in September 2026 there are two documented ways: LinkedIn's built-in scheduler, which takes personal posts 10 minutes to 3 months ahead (Page posts 1 hour to 3 months), or a scheduling tool such as PostFast, which schedules to profiles and company Pages from one calendar, plans further out on Creator and above, and lists multiple-image posts among its LinkedIn formats, something LinkedIn's own Page scheduler leaves out.

This guide covers both step by step: the native flow on desktop and mobile, the Page-specific rules, how to see and edit scheduled posts, and a weekly rhythm you can keep. Every product fact was checked in early September 2026 against LinkedIn's help articles and PostFast's documentation.

What you can schedule on LinkedIn

  • Text posts, up to 3,000 characters
  • Image posts, single or multiple images
  • Video posts, uploaded natively
  • Document posts, a PDF, Word, or PowerPoint file shown as a multi-slide document
  • Newsletter articles on a Page, through LinkedIn's own scheduler

Two LinkedIn help pages set the boundaries. On a personal profile, LinkedIn's scheduler does not support Events, Jobs, or Services post types. On a company Page, it does not schedule events, multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs, or service posts. That "multiple photos" gap is the one most likely to trip up a Page team.

Method 1: LinkedIn's built-in scheduler

On desktop (personal profile)

  1. Click Start a post at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Write the post in the composer and add your image, video, or document.
  3. Click the clock icon in the lower-right corner of the composer.
  4. Pick a date and time. The dropdown works in 30-minute steps, and you can type an exact time instead. The time must be between 10 minutes and 3 months from now.
  5. Click Next, check the scheduled time shown above the post, then click Schedule. A confirmation appears in the lower left.

LinkedIn stores the time in UTC based on your device's time zone setting, so check the device clock when you schedule for another region.

LinkedIn's built-in scheduler: the clock icon in the composer and a three-month window for profiles and Pages

In the mobile app

Tap Post in the navigation bar, write the post, tap the clock icon in the upper-right corner, pick the date and time (same 10-minute to 3-month window), tap Next, then tap Schedule in the upper right.

On a company Page

You need to be a super admin or content admin of the Page. Go to the admin view, click Page posts in the left menu, click Start a post, write it, click the clock icon in the lower right, pick a date and time between 1 hour and 3 months ahead, click Next, finish the post, and click Schedule. On mobile, open Dashboard, choose Page posts, tap Post, then the clock icon in the upper right.

Two Page details worth knowing: a scheduled Page post cannot be promoted through the "Browse existing content" option in Campaign Manager until it is published, and if an admin is removed from the Page, the posts they scheduled transfer to the admin who removed them.

How to see, edit, or reschedule a scheduled LinkedIn post

This is a common search on its own, because the list is tucked inside the composer.

  1. Click Start a post (or tap Post on mobile).
  2. Click the clock icon.
  3. Click View all scheduled posts (mobile: View all). The Scheduled posts page lists everything waiting to go out.
  4. Click the More icon on a post, then Edit post to change the content or Modify schedule to change the time. The Delete icon removes it.

The Page help article also lists Post now, which publishes a scheduled Page post immediately. Other Page admins can view, edit, reschedule, or delete posts scheduled by another admin.

Method 2: Schedule LinkedIn posts with PostFast

PostFast connects both personal profiles and company Pages and runs in the browser, with a responsive layout on mobile.

  1. Connect your LinkedIn profile or Page in PostFast.
  2. Create a post and pick the LinkedIn account it should go to. With several profiles and Pages connected, you choose per post.
  3. Add the content: text up to 3,000 characters, one image or several, a video, or a document. Document posts take a PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, or PPTX file up to 60 MB with a display title, and a document post cannot carry images or video alongside the file.
  4. Pick the date and time and schedule. How far ahead you can go depends on your plan, from 90 days on Starter to unlimited on Pro and Enterprise, and the number of scheduled posts runs from 150 on Starter to unlimited on Pro and Enterprise.
  5. Cross-post if you want to. The same post can go to Facebook, Instagram (with an image or video attached), X, Threads, or Bluesky from the same editor, with the caption adjusted per platform.

Register PostFast Banner

For company Pages, PostFast tracks views, likes, shares, comments, and engagement per post. Analytics for personal profiles are not available because LinkedIn's API does not expose them. The public API accepts up to 15 posts per request, and the MCP server lets an AI assistant draft and schedule LinkedIn posts for you. Plans start at €12 a month (€10 on yearly billing) with a 7-day free trial, no credit card needed.

One honest limit: PostFast does not add an automatic first comment on LinkedIn, although it does on Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and Threads. Put the link in the post itself or reply manually after publishing.

When the built-in scheduler is enough, and when it is not

The native scheduler lives where you already write and covers a single profile posting a few times a week. Reach for a tool when:

  • You post from a Page and want multiple-image posts scheduled rather than published by hand; PostFast lists multiple-image posts among its LinkedIn formats and schedules to Pages
  • You plan further than 3 months out, for a product launch or an event series (PostFast Creator and up)
  • You manage several profiles or Pages and want one calendar instead of switching admin views
  • You want the same post on other networks without rewriting it five times

A weekly LinkedIn rhythm you can keep

  • Write in one sitting. Draft three to five posts on one day, each with a single idea and a hook in the first line.
  • Mix formats. A text post, an image post, a document post, and a short video over a week gives the feed variety without extra production.
  • Spread posts across the week at the windows from the best time to post on LinkedIn guide, then move slots by your own analytics.
  • Reuse across networks. The same idea can go to Instagram and Facebook from the same PostFast post; the Instagram from desktop guide covers that side.
  • Review Page analytics weekly and keep the formats that earn comments and shares.
