Claude can post to LinkedIn once you give it a connector. In a regular chat, Claude has no access to your LinkedIn profile or your company page. A connector from Claude's directory adds that access, and the right one lets Claude draft, schedule and publish LinkedIn posts, including PDF document carousels, to your personal profile and your company pages, and report how your page content performed, all from a chat.
This guide shows how to connect Claude to LinkedIn with PostFast, what Claude can and cannot do once it is connected, and prompts that work. The Claude menus and plan rules below come from Anthropic's help center, and the PostFast details from PostFast's own documentation, both checked in October 2026.
Can Claude post to LinkedIn? The short answer
Yes, through a connector. Anthropic describes connectors as the way Claude accesses your apps and services and takes actions in them. Without one, Claude can write a LinkedIn post for you, but it has no way to publish it: you would copy the text, open LinkedIn, paste it and press Post.
Three things decide what you can actually do:
- The route you choose. People connect Claude to LinkedIn in three different ways: a browser extension that drives LinkedIn for you, an automation platform, or a connector from Claude's directory. The next section compares them.
- Where you want to post. PostFast connects both LinkedIn personal profiles and company pages, and you pick the target per post, so one request can put a post on your own profile and another on the page you manage.
- Your approval. With PostFast, every post Claude creates is held until you confirm it, so nothing reaches LinkedIn without your yes.
Three ways to connect Claude to LinkedIn
"Connect Claude to LinkedIn" means three different things depending on who you ask. Pick the route that matches the job:
| Route | How it works | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude in Chrome | Anthropic's browser extension reads the LinkedIn page you are signed in to, then clicks, types and fills forms while you decide what happens next | One-off tasks on linkedin.com while you watch | Works only while the browser is open; LinkedIn's user agreement bans "bots or other unauthorized automated methods" that create, like or share posts |
| Automation platforms | A trigger in one tool fires a LinkedIn action in another (new row in a sheet, new blog post, new RSS item) | Repeating the same post pattern on a schedule | Setup and billing live with the automation platform, and what you can post depends on its LinkedIn action |
| A directory connector | Claude talks to a social media scheduler that already has permission to post on your profile and pages through LinkedIn's API | Running your LinkedIn presence from a chat, with scheduling and approval | You need an account with the scheduler; check which tools the connector exposes before you add it |
PostFast is in the third group. The rest of this guide covers that route, because it publishes through LinkedIn's API rather than through the website's buttons, and because it is the one where scheduling, approval and company pages come built in.

Is there a LinkedIn connector for Claude?
Not one made by LinkedIn. Claude's directory lists well over a hundred connectors that mention LinkedIn, and dozens of them publish or schedule posts; a LinkedIn-made connector is not among them, and LinkedIn's own plugin for ChatGPT does something else entirely (more on that below). So "the LinkedIn connector for Claude" is really a choice between third-party connectors that can post to LinkedIn. PostFast is one of them, and it also covers ten other platforms from the same connection.
What about a LinkedIn MCP for Claude?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the standard every Claude connector is built on, so a "LinkedIn MCP for Claude" and a "LinkedIn connector for Claude" are the same thing seen from two sides. Many of the open-source LinkedIn MCP servers on GitHub read LinkedIn (profiles, search results, your feed) by driving a browser or scraping the site, which is the activity LinkedIn's user agreement rules out; others publish through LinkedIn's API with a developer app you register yourself. A publishing connector like PostFast takes the API route without the developer setup: it posts on accounts you have connected, and reads back only your own posts and company page statistics. If you work in Claude Code or run your own agents, the same PostFast server is available as an open-source npm package, covered in the Claude Code integration guide.
What you need before you start
- A LinkedIn profile, a company page, or both. PostFast connects personal profiles and company pages. When you connect LinkedIn in PostFast, the pages you manage are offered as choices, and you can add a profile and several pages to the same workspace.
- A Claude account. Anthropic lists web connectors as available to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner has to enable a connector for the organization before members can connect it.
- A PostFast account with LinkedIn connected. PostFast has a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and the Claude connector works on every plan. The LinkedIn integration page lists everything PostFast publishes to LinkedIn.
- For the PDF carousel step, a document. A PDF, Word or PowerPoint file of up to 60 MB at a direct public link (to the file, not a share page); attaching it in the chat also works where your Claude app passes files to connectors.
How to connect Claude to LinkedIn with PostFast
You connect LinkedIn once inside PostFast, then connect PostFast to Claude. Once your PostFast account and LinkedIn connection are in place, adding the connector takes about two minutes. The video above walks through the same steps on a real profile and company page.
Step 1: Connect your LinkedIn profile and pages to PostFast
Create your PostFast account, add LinkedIn as a channel, and sign in with your LinkedIn login. Pick the company pages you want to publish to alongside your profile. Each connected profile and page gets its own entry in PostFast, which is what lets Claude ask "which one?" when you post.
Step 2: Add PostFast from Claude's connector directory
Open PostFast in Claude's directory at claude.ai/directory/postfast, or in Claude go to Customize > Connectors, click the + button and find PostFast. Click Connect, then sign in on PostFast's own login screen and approve access.
You never paste a password or an API key into the chat. The sign-in uses OAuth, the same kind of "Sign in with" flow you know from other apps, and PostFast never holds your LinkedIn password either: LinkedIn itself handled that login in step 1.
Step 3: Turn PostFast on in a conversation
In the chat box, click the + button (or type /), hover over Connectors, and switch PostFast on for that conversation. Claude can now use it whenever your request needs it.
Step 4: Ask for your first LinkedIn post
Start with a quick check, then a real post:
- "Which LinkedIn profiles and company pages are connected in PostFast?"
- "Turn these notes into a LinkedIn post in my voice and schedule it for Tuesday at 9:00 on my profile: [paste your notes]."
Claude shows you what will be posted, on which profile or page, and when, and publishes only after you say yes. Until then the post waits on hold in PostFast.
On a Team or Enterprise plan
An Owner or Primary Owner first opens Organization settings > Connectors, clicks Browse connectors, selects PostFast and chooses Add to your team. Enabling it does not connect anyone automatically: each person then connects PostFast and signs in with their own PostFast login.
Prefer to add it by URL?
You can add the same connector as a custom connector. Go to Customize > Connectors, click Add, hover over Custom and select Web. Give it a name, paste https://mcp.postfa.st/mcp as the server URL, keep the authentication settings Claude detects, add it, and sign in when asked. Anthropic allows custom connectors on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, with one custom connector on the Free plan.
In Cowork and on your phone
Anthropic lists connectors as available in Cowork as well as in Claude, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps, so a connector you add once is there when Cowork drafts your week of posts. Installing connectors directly in the mobile apps is still in beta; connect PostFast on the web or in Claude Desktop and it is available in the Claude app on iOS or Android the next time you log in.
In Claude Code
If Claude Code is logged in with the same claude.ai account, connectors you added in Claude appear in Claude Code automatically. Run /mcp and PostFast is listed with your other claude.ai connectors. If it says it needs authentication, select it and sign in.
If you have not added PostFast in Claude, add it from the terminal once:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http postfast https://mcp.postfa.st/mcp
Then run /mcp, choose postfast, select Authenticate, and approve the sign-in in your browser. Do not add it both ways: Claude Code hides the claude.ai copy as a duplicate of the server you added.
What Claude can do on LinkedIn once connected
Through PostFast, Claude can handle the day-to-day LinkedIn work:
| Task | What to ask Claude | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Text posts | "Post this on my profile tomorrow at 8:30." | Up to 3,000 characters; line breaks are kept |
| Image posts | "Schedule these three images on the company page for Thursday." | Up to 10 images in one post, or one video; images and video cannot be mixed. Sizes and aspect ratios: LinkedIn post sizes |
| Video posts | "Post the video at this link on the page on Friday at 12:00." | One video per post |
| Document posts (PDF carousels) | "Attach this PDF as a document with the title 'Q4 playbook'." | PDF, Word or PowerPoint up to 60 MB; LinkedIn shows it as pages readers swipe through |
| Profile and company page | "Put the short version on my profile and the full version on the company page." | Each profile and page is its own target; one request can cover both |
| Scheduling | "Spread these five posts over next week, weekday mornings." | Schedule up to a year ahead |
| Checking the calendar | "What is scheduled on LinkedIn next week?" | Lists drafts, scheduled posts and failed posts with the reason |
| Deleting a post | "Delete the Thursday post." | Removes a scheduled post from PostFast before it publishes; a post that already went live stays on LinkedIn until you remove it there |
| Page analytics | "How did the company page's posts do this quarter?" | Impressions, likes, comments, shares, video watch time and a daily follower trend, for company pages; PostFast does not report on personal profiles |
The same conversation can post to PostFast's other ten platforms, so one request can put the long version on LinkedIn and a shorter cut on X or Threads; the limits for every network are in Claude for social media. For the timing question, PostFast's own posting data is summarised in the best time to post on LinkedIn guide.
Every post waits for your yes
In Claude, PostFast creates new posts on hold. Claude shows you what will be posted, where and when, and the post only goes live after you confirm, which is the same post approval flow teams use inside PostFast. If you change your mind, ask Claude to delete the post before its time, or edit it in PostFast's calendar.

Posting a PDF carousel to LinkedIn from Claude
A format LinkedIn creators lean on for tips and playbooks is the document post: a PDF that LinkedIn renders as slides people swipe through in the feed. From a chat, the text is the easy part; a document post also needs the file. With PostFast connected, Claude handles both in one request.
The prompt flow
- Write the slides. "Turn these seven points into a LinkedIn carousel: a cover, one point per slide with a short headline and two lines, and an end slide with a question." Claude gives you the text for each slide.
- Make the PDF. Lay the slides out in portrait, for example 1080 x 1350 px, one idea per page, large type, and export a PDF. PostFast's document guide suggests five to fifteen pages rather than a fifty-page deck.
- Attach and schedule. "Post this PDF on the company page on Wednesday at 10:00 as a document titled 'Five prompts for a week of LinkedIn posts', with this intro text: [your text]." Give Claude a direct public link to the PDF file itself, not a share page: that is the route shown in the video. If your Claude app passes attached files to connectors, attaching the PDF in the chat works too.
- Approve. Claude shows the post, the page, the time and the document title. Say yes, and PostFast publishes it at the scheduled time.
What to know about document posts
- The connector accepts PDF, Word (.doc, .docx) and PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) files up to 60 MB.
- Give the document a title. Without one, LinkedIn shows the attachment as "Document".
- A document post cannot also carry images or a video. Choose one or the other for each post.
- The post text still applies: up to 3,000 characters above the document, so put the hook and the question there.
- Design for phones: large text and simple layouts read well in the feed.
If you would rather generate carousels from your own scripts, the same attachment is available in PostFast's API; the LinkedIn document posts guide shows the request.

Prompts to try
Copy these into a chat with PostFast switched on, and replace the details with your own:
- "Which LinkedIn profiles and company pages are connected, and is any of them disconnected?"
- "Here are my notes from today's customer call. Write a LinkedIn post in my voice, under 1,300 characters, no hashtags, and schedule it on my profile for tomorrow at 8:30."
- "Write five opening lines for this post and let me pick one before you schedule it."
- "Schedule the PDF at this link on the company page on Wednesday at 10:00 as a document titled 'Hiring playbook', with a two-line intro that ends in a question."
- "Post the image at this link on both my profile and the company page on Thursday, with a different first line for each."
- "What is scheduled on LinkedIn next week? List it by day and flag anything without an image."
- "How did the company page's posts perform over the last 90 days? Sort them by impressions and tell me what the top three have in common."
- "Show the company page's follower trend since we connected it."
- "Delete the post scheduled for Friday on the company page."
While writing this guide we ran the account, calendar and reporting requests against our own LinkedIn company page through the same connector, and the document post flow is the one shown in the video above.
What it cannot do
Knowing the limits saves you a confused afternoon:
- No LinkedIn comments or messages. PostFast's comment inbox covers TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages and Threads. LinkedIn comments and InMail are not part of it, so Claude cannot read or answer them through PostFast.
- No first comment on LinkedIn. PostFast's automatic first comment works on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads and TikTok, not on LinkedIn.
- No analytics for personal profiles. PostFast's post statistics and follower history cover company pages only. Your profile posts publish fine; their numbers stay in LinkedIn's own analytics.
- No ads data. PostFast reports on organic page posts. Campaign Manager data needs a connector built for ad accounts.
- Only your own connected accounts. Claude can post to the profile and pages you connect and report on your company pages. It cannot browse other people's profiles, search for candidates or scrape LinkedIn.
- Analytics depth depends on the plan. Full analytics come with the Creator plan and above; the Starter plan includes limited analytics.
Is it safe to connect Claude to LinkedIn?
The connection is built so that Claude never holds your LinkedIn password:
- You sign in on PostFast's own screen using OAuth. No password or API key goes into the chat, and LinkedIn's login happens on LinkedIn.
- It publishes through LinkedIn's API, the route LinkedIn provides for scheduling tools, not by driving your browser or scraping pages. LinkedIn's user agreement asks members not to use "bots or other unauthorized automated methods" to create or share posts, and not to use "browser plugins and add-ons or any other technology" to scrape the site; a scheduler publishing through the API on your own connected accounts is the ordinary, permitted way to post on a schedule.
- Permissions stay with you. PostFast checks your workspace permissions on every request, so Claude can only do what your PostFast user can do.
- You can disconnect at any time, from Customize > Connectors in Claude or from PostFast.
- Admins can restrict actions. On Team and Enterprise plans, Owners can set each connector tool to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked for the whole organization.
One thing to know: PostFast is listed in Claude's directory as a community connector. Anthropic labels community connectors as having passed automated reviews without being verified by Anthropic, and advises connecting only developers you trust.
Does this work in ChatGPT?
Yes. PostFast also has a ChatGPT connector in ChatGPT's plugin directory. In ChatGPT you can draft a post, choose the profile or page it goes to, attach an image, a video or a PDF document from a public link (it is the same connector), schedule it, route it for approval, and check how published page posts performed. The one-click directory install does not include the comment tools yet; adding the connector manually in ChatGPT's Developer mode gives you those today, and PostFast's ChatGPT guide walks through both routes.
Do not confuse this with LinkedIn's own plugin for ChatGPT. That plugin looks up professionals, their title, company, location and follower count, and links to their profile. It does not post, so publishing to LinkedIn from ChatGPT still needs a connector that can post, such as PostFast.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Claude post to LinkedIn?
Not on its own. To publish through LinkedIn's API, Claude needs a connector that can post, such as PostFast. Once it is connected, Claude can draft, schedule and publish text, image, video and document posts to your personal profile and your company pages, and every post waits for your confirmation before it goes live.
Is there a LinkedIn connector for Claude?
LinkedIn does not publish a Claude connector of its own. Claude's directory lists many third-party connectors that can post to LinkedIn; PostFast is one of them and publishes to profiles and company pages, with scheduling, approval and PDF document posts included.
Can I connect LinkedIn to Claude for free?
Anthropic makes connectors available to all Claude users, including the Free plan, which allows one custom connector. On the PostFast side there is a 7-day free trial with no credit card, then plans start at €12 per month, or €10 per month on yearly billing.
Does it work with a LinkedIn company page?
Yes. PostFast connects LinkedIn personal profiles and company pages, you pick the target per post, and Claude can address each by name. Post analytics and follower history are available for company pages; PostFast does not report on personal profiles.
Can Claude post a PDF carousel to LinkedIn?
Yes. Through PostFast, Claude attaches a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file of up to 60 MB as a LinkedIn document, with a title, and LinkedIn shows it as swipeable pages. Give Claude a direct public link to the file, not a share page; attaching it in the chat also works where your Claude app passes files to connectors. A document post cannot carry images or a video as well.
Is there a LinkedIn MCP for Claude?
Every Claude connector is an MCP server, so PostFast's connector is a LinkedIn MCP for Claude that publishes rather than scrapes. The hosted connector adds through Claude's directory with a sign-in; the open-source server, postfast-mcp on npm, runs with an API key for Claude Code and scripts.
Let Claude write and schedule, keep the final say
Connecting Claude to LinkedIn turns "write me a post" into "write it, schedule it on the right page, and tell me how the page did". Set up the Claude connector once, keep your profile and pages connected in PostFast, and approve each post with a yes. The same connector handles Instagram too, see how to connect Claude to Instagram, and on days when a browser is easier, the same account works for scheduling LinkedIn posts from PostFast's calendar.
